Dear Library Member,

With thousands of movies, complete music albums, audiobooks, comics and more, hoopla is a comprehensive digital service being made available as a pilot program through our membership in the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium (LMxAC).

Hoopla selections range from Hollywood blockbusters to best-selling artists and authors as well as niche and hard-to-find selections. The service allows you the freedom to experience, explore and enjoy what you want, when you want, and where you want FREE with your Old Bridge Library card!

You are eligible to receive up to five free downloads per month by going to www.oldbridgelibrary.org and clicking on the new  hoopla graphic on the home page.  All hoopla resources are available 24/7 with no waitlists.  Look for hoopla tomorrow!

Are you fascinated by Earth's past?  Come listen to Lenora Miller, Fossil Educationist with the Monmouth Museum, explain how paleontologists are uncovering the planet's past through fossils. Learn how ancient plants and animals become fossilized and how fossils help document the geological timeline. Also, travel through the Earth's past yourself with Lenora's Traveling Trunk of Fossils from the Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic eras!  Sunday at 2:30 pm.  Light refreshments will be served.

On Tuesday at 7 pm, New Jersey photojournalist, Jim DelGuidice will speak about great moments in history captured by camera in his program, Snapshots That Made History.  Jim will speak about what it was about them that made the photographer say, "Gotcha!".

Chromecast is a media streaming device that plugs into the HDMI port on your TV. Simply use your mobile device or computer, and the TV you already own, to cast your favorite TV shows, movies, music, sports, games and more.  Come to our Chromecast Class on Thursday at 4 pm to learn how to use and benefit by this handy device!

Then on Saturday at 2 pm, Laura Rabuffo from Ralph Lauren will talk about the latest summer must-haves to let you breeze from beach to nighttime with ease in Accessorize in the Summer.  Bring your own scarf for this hands-on workshop so Laura can show you how to tie it to pair with any summer outfit!  A scarf courtesy of Ralph Lauren will be raffled off at the end!

Last but far from least, meet children's book author Cheryl Matsen-Nieves on Saturday at 2 pm.  Matsen-Nieves' books include the Journey Beyond series: "Universal Truths" and "Battle of the Beetle." Geared towards middle-school students, these fantasy books seek to empower kids and teach them important life lessons. Matsen-Nieves will read from the novels and engage participants in a lively discussion. Copies of the books will be available for purchase and signing following the presentation.  Don't miss this program!

Have a spectacular week.  See you in the Library!

Regards,
Nancy Cohen, Library Director
