Dear Library Member,

Businesses - we are seeking your support for our summer reading program!  We need your help in our efforts to encourage reading and literacy while school is out.  If you would like to reap the benefits of sponsorship, please call 732-721-5600 x5014 or email me (ncohen@oldbridgelibrary.org).  Join the list of sponsors in the sidebar today!

WordPress is free flexible software that will let you start a website in minutes. Customize and extend it for free, and share your thoughts - or your business - with the world.  Our WordPress class on Monday from 4 to 5 pm will teach you the basics so you can get started with your website immediately. The Library's website is a fine example of WordPress software. It can give you a good idea of what your website can look like!

My Tooth is Loose! Tooth Fairy Stories from Around the World will take place on Wednesday from 4 to 5 pm.  Come learn how other children deal with the loss of their teeth.  Did you know that children in many countries toss their teeth onto their roof instead of putting them under their pillow?   And instead of money some kids get chickens?!? This is another Dia fun and fact-filled program.

Teens! We've combined our Teens Taking Action group with our new Teen Advisory Board! Volunteer for fun projects that benefit our community. Have a say in deciding what events, books, space and more the library has for teens. No sign-up is required, and you can attend whichever projects and meetings fit your schedule. Get community service time for meetings and events. Grades 6-12.  Come to our meeting Thursday from 7 to 8 pm.

The second program in the unique Inquire Science series is Oceans of Opportunity: Careers in Marine Science on Saturday, May 21 at 2:30 pm.  Marine Biologist Amy Penney from Advenure Aquarium and the Philadelphia Zoo will speak about various occupations in this field.  She'll be bringing in several marine animals for petting too!

What exactly is the "cloud"? Simply put, cloud computing is a kind of Internet-based computing that provides shared processing resources and data to computers and other devices on demand. Learn practical uses, how it can impact what you do, and how to setup a cloud account for personal and small business environments. Register online or call (732) 721-5600 X5033 for this class on Sunday at 3 pm.

We have an especially fun program on Saturday at 2:30 pm called Speed Racer Science for kids in kindergarten and up!  Come build your own speed racer car, learn about Newton's First Law of Motion and see in science in action!  No registration needed.

Wishing you a spectacular week.  See you in the Library!

Regards,
Nancy Cohen, Library Director
