Dear Library Member,

Local dancer, Varsha Garla, trained in the Indian classical Kuchipudi dance, will demonstrate this ancient art form.  She will explain the origins and meanings of individual gestures and rhythimic movements that have been performed for centuries.  Please join us for this delightful and beautiful performance on Sunday, April 24 at 2 pm!

Mystified by probate issues?  Then come to the Probate Law seminar on Tuesday at 1 pm.  The seminar will discuss new probate law, preparation of wills, changes in the federal Estate and Gift Tax, living wills, and estate administration.  A q&a session will follow the seminar.

As part of our Dia grant programming, we'll be presenting Let's Explore India Storytime and Craft on Tuesday at 7 pm.  The stories are wonderful and then you'll create and decorate an elephant craft to take home.  We may put yours on our Facebook page!  For children 5-10.

Google Cardboard is a virtual reality (VR) platform developed by Google for use with a head mount for a smartphone. Named for its fold-out cardboard viewer, the platform is intended as a low-cost system to encourage interest and development in VR applications.  Turn your cell phone into a virtual reality machine with this inexpensive product on Thursday at 4 pm.  Register here.

Celebrate the Bard's birthday!  Take part in our fun, all-ages Shakespeare Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, April 23.  Grab a list of questions at the Information Desk, find all the answers, and turn in your completed sheet for a prize!

Last but far from least, Raw Food Desserts on Saturday at 2 pm, presents a live cooking demonstration of delicious desserts made without an oven using ingredients made from fruits and nuts!  To preserve the authenticity of the raw foods, we request that no outside food be brought into and used in the class.

Have a spectacular week.  See you in the Library!

Regards,
Nancy Cohen, Library Director
