Dear Library Member,

The Library has so many great things planned for you this week!  Take a look at the calendar below for even more.

We're extremely pleased to have the Carnaby Street Duo as our Second Saturday concert performers at 2:30 pm.  Chris Roselle and Pete Bremy will bring the music of the '60's alive with  special attention on perhaps the quintessential rock 'n' roll band, The Rolling Stones.  This will be a fantastic and memorable performance for everyone!

Learn how to use ReferenceUSA, the powerful online business resource to help you find your next job or career.  On Monday at 1:30 pm a representative from ReferenceUSA will help you uncover the "hidden" job market, help you target companies by interest, geography or industry, and find out contact information for key executives.
Prepare yourself for a successful interview with this highly informative presentation.  ReferenceUSA is available 24/7 from the Old Bridge Public
Library.

In April and May the Library will present cultural diversity programs on Tuesday evenings as part of our recently won Dia grant.  This Tuesday at 7 pm we present Same Same But Different.  We'll celebrate and share who we are and what makes us special, with stories and a craft. I'm unique. You're unique. Your friends are unique. WE ARE ALL UNIQUE...but the same.  For children of all ages.  Just drop in!

We are excited to have special guest, Steve Mamakas, speak on Sunday, April 10 at 2 pm.  Steve Mamakas, Director of the Mayor's Office of Economic Development and successful entrepreneur, will help you achieve success with turning your hobby into a business.  Steve formed Kroozin Productions 25 years ago because of his great interest in automotive reconditioning and automotive event promotions. His hobby turned business has also provided him with extensive experience with marketing techniques and branding strategies to continually grow the business.  If you are passionate about your hobby and want to take it to the next level, or simply want to know how to run a small business, this talk will be invaluable.

Are you a teen, or soon to be one, and want more from the Library?  Do you want to have a say in what programs and resources we have for you?  Do you want to do things to help the community and also earn community service hours?  Do you just want to come and hang out with friends or make new ones?  Then come to the Teen Advisory Board meeting on Thursday at 7 pm.  All are welcome.  There is no obligation to attend every meeting.  Hope to see you on Thursday.

Discover tips and tools for making your next event a success!  Whether managing the guest list, planning a meal, or scheduling activities, find help and take the stress out of having fun!  The Library presents a new class entitled Event Planning Apps on Friday at 2:30 pm.  This class will help you make your next event or celebration a huge success!

Teens!  Show off your fandom spirit! Dress in your finest fandom attire and join us for food, activities, and prizes. Have fun with old and new friends as you discuss your favorite TV shows, movies, books, and games!  The Fandom Ball is Friday night from 6 to 8:30 pm so start getting your costume ready!

Have a spectacular week.  See you in the Library!

Regards,
Nancy Cohen, Library Director
