Dear Library Member,
If you have a case of cabin fever from being homebound in the snowstorm, then the Library has a cure for you with a full slate of activities this week. Some highlights
include:
We are extremely pleased and honored to have Meg Wiviott present a book talk and reading on Friday at 7 pm. Ms. Wiviott is the author of the award winning children's picture book, Benno And The Night Of Broken Glass. Ms. Wiviott's latest novel, Paper Hearts is a haunting, yet inspirational story about the Holocaust to which young adults will relate. It is a story of hope, defiance, and solidarity. Ms. Wiviott will give pointers to and answer questions from aspiring writers of all ages as well as speak about her writing career and what inspires her to write. A book signing will follow the program.
The financial markets have seen some turbulence in recent weeks. If you are confused as to how to invest or manage your investments, the program, Making Sense of Investing presented by a financial advisor, may help provide some clarity. Tuesday at 7 pm.
Explore your creative side and Learn to Draw. Nicole Perez, art teacher, will guide you. You will use paper and pencil provided to sketch. Learn how an artist perceives images, divides space and uses texture. Wednesday at 7 pm. No registration required.
Thinking of selling your own home? Come to For Sale by Owner, an informational program. Old Bridge residents and professionals will be available to answer any questions you may have on the process of selling your own home. The roots of paper airplane construction go back to ancient times. People of all ages are still fascinated with paper airplane flight and construction. Youth in grades 2 and up please join us for a Paper Airplane Challenge on Saturday starting at 2:30 pm. Use library materials to construct and design your own paper airplanes and then challenge each other to see which plane will fly the farthest and which will stay in the air the longest.
