Dear Library Member,

Starting in October, we will be revamping our instructional assistance to better help the community keep up with technology trends and practices.  In October we will be offering four new classes for people of all ages.  They are Cloud Apps, Facebook: How to Use It, Pixlr: Online Photo Editing and Online Writing Tools.  Registration for these classes will begin the week of September 21. More good news to come!

Join us on Wednesday night at 7 pm as Virginia Ahearn, herbal practitioner and teacher of herbal medicine, will speak about herbs to incorporate into your life.  She will address herbal memory boosters as well.  Just drop in, no registration required.

Sensory storytime on Saturday, September 19 is geared to children ages 3-7 whose special needs may make it difficult for them to attend our regularly scheduled storytimes. Registration is requested.  When registering, please let us know of any limitations or requirements that you think we should be aware of.  If you have any questions about this storytime please call Youth Services at 732-721-5600 x5028.

There are still a few openings for the ever popular Teen & Adult Sewing Classes starting on Saturday, September 19 at 10:30 am.  This particular series focuses on getting your fall and winter wardrobe repaired and/or altered.  Hurry and register before all the spots are taken!

Teens - need community service time? Want to give back to your community?  Then do fun projects that benefit the community. In the past Teens Taking Action (TTA) has done a drive for the animal shelter, held a coffee house, cleaned the Library garden, and so much more! TTA offers about 4 hours of community service a month. No sign up is required, and you can attend whichever projects fit your schedule. TTA is a good option for those of you with busy schedules, since no attendance is mandatory. The next meeting is this Wednesday at 7 pm.  You will plan a Halloween program and discuss new service ideas.  Please come and join your peers to help the community!

Thanks everyone, have a great week and see you in the Library.

Regards,
Nancy Cohen, Library Director
