Dear Library Member,

Have you or someone you know written a book for children?  The Old Bridge Public Library is interested in having you read your book here at the Library and talk about your writing process.  We welcome new and established authors and children's books of all genres.  If you're just beginning your career as a children's book author, this a great way to help launch it!  Your visit will help increase children's interest in books, help them understand how books are produced and boost the confidence of aspiring writers.  Please contact me for more information and pass the word to authors you may know.  I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

The Library is very pleased to announce the arrival of TumbleBooks Premium on September 1 which you can use in the Library or remotely with your Old Bridge Library card.  TumbleBooks Premium is a collection of animated, talking picture books with fiction, non-fiction and foreign language titles (French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian to name a few).  It also presents math stories, read-alongs (chapter books with sentence highlighting and narration but no animation), graphic novels, videos from National Geographic, TumbleTV which consists of pre-set playlists of a sequence of books and Tumble Puzzles & GamesTumbleBooks has features for teachers in the classroom too such as MyCloud which allows teachers to set up secondary accounts and create customized playlists that can be accessed from any computer.  Each TumbleBook title has recommended reading levels by grade and lexile and has Accelerated Reader information.  This resource will enhance your child's reading skills and love of reading.  Go to www.oldbridgelibrary.org and click on the TumbleBooks icon in the upper left-hand corner on Tuesday, September 1!

For those of you on vacation this week and looking for something to do, take out a free museum pass from the Library.  We have passes to four world-class museums which you and your family can enjoy.  Just click here on Free Museum Pass Program and give us a call to make a reservation!
