Dear Library Member,
On Wednesday, July 22nd, author Larry Roth will discuss his new novel, "The Nazi Account" at 7:30pm at the Library. This work of historical fiction is based on the German government's hiring of the large, prominent Carl Byoir & Associates public relations firm in 1933 to promote a positive image and values of the "New Germany". Roth will examine the deep roots of anti-Semitism in the US during that time, and will discuss the emergence of the power and influence public relations firms now wield. Book signings will be held after the presentation. Roth earned a BA in Journalism from the University of South Carolina and worked in public relations for 30 years.
Classically trained singer, Varsha Joshi of Josh Musical will perform on Sunday, July 26 at 2:30 pm with songs and music of the Hindi film industry. This program is generously sponsored by the Indo-American Senior Citizens Association of Old Bridge. All are welcome to come and enjoy this delightful singer.
Bayshore Search and Rescue team was established a few years ago to serve as an organized search and rescue team in the Central New Jersey area. Volunteers are trained on how to stay alive in a wilderness environment, with or without equipment, and in various terrains. On Saturday, July 25 at 2 pm, Bayshore will come to the Library to demonstrate the work that they do to benefit Old Bridge and surrounding communities. Don't forget about the next Science of Superpowers program on Wednesday at 7 pm. This week learn about invisibility.
Have a wonderful week and see you in the Library!
