Dear Library Member,

In just a few short days the Library's Summer Reading Program will begin!  All ages can participate.  There are reading incentives and prizes for kids, teens and adults.  Our theme this year is Heroes.

To kickoff Summer Reading, there are two big programs on Saturday, June 27.  At 10 am, teens and tweens will have an opportunity to learn from award-winning author/illustrator, Kevin Pyle, who will teach graphic novel drawing and story-telling skills.  You will leave knowing how to create your own heroic tale!

At 1:30 pm on June 27, famed Sciencetellers will take kids on hilarious adventures through the antics of teachers with superpowers!  Kids will learn through science that things are not always what they seem as objects will be launched through the air and transform before their very eyes. The show will begin promptly at 1:30 pm.

On June 23 and June 24, AARP will be offering a two-day defensive driving course from 10 am to 1 pm on both days.  The course is open to anyone over the age of 17.  Even the most experienced drivers can benefit from brushing up on driving skills. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. You may be eligible to receive an insurance discount upon completing the course, so consult your insurance agent for details.  Registration required.

Certified Natural Health Coach Harriet Linder will provide ten easy health and lifestyle tips to increase your energy and vitality on Thursday, June 25 at 7:30 pm.  Learn simple strategies to help restore healthy balance in your body.  No registration required.

Our calendar of Idea Farm maker space classes is out for July.  Registration is able to be done over the phone (732-721-5600 x5033), online or in-person.  Don't be shut out.  Register today!

The Library is very pleased to offer a streaming video service called IndieFlixIndieFlix is one of a family of products which includes the popular Zinio, our digital magazine resource.  Currently, IndieFlix has over 8,000 titles that include award-winning features, shorts and documentaries and is available in over 85 countries.  The service promotes independently-produced films.  Watch movies on any Internet-enabled computer, smartphone, or tablet with a Web browser!
