New Classes

Dear Library Member,

TumbleBook-of-the-Day is a new Library initiative which provides a different children's book every day, 365 days of the year.  You'll see books which correspond to seasons, holidays, and events.   When you click on the TumbleBooks icon on our home page, a new book will open every day. Your child can read along with the book which is professionally narrated.  Take a look at TumbleBooks at www.oldbridgelibrary.org!

On Friday, May 29 at 7 pm, another popular LEGO Construction Challenge will take place.  Three age groups will compete to build the tallest skyscraper from LEGO blocks.  For grades 3 through 12.  We supply the LEGO blocks and the fun!  No registration required.

Drug addiction is a growing epidemic in the United States, and here in the Garden State.  On Tuesday, May 26 at 7 pm, Michael Deleon, producer of the documentary Kids Are Dying, will moderate a discussion at the Library about the growing drug problem plaguing youth in New Jersey.  Using parts of his documentary, Deleon illuminates the problem in order to increase awareness and defeat it.

The Friends of the Library are pulling out all of the stops to make their Book Sale the best one ever!  Starting on Tuesday, June 2 at 10 am, the sale will run for 7 days (see all times listed below).  Great deals are waiting for you on books, DVDs and other materials appropriate for all ages.  All proceeds of the Book Sale help the Library provide programs and services which benefit Old Bridge and the wider community.

As promised, new classes are coming to the Library in June, specifically June 12 and June 19.  You'll have to read next week's newsletter to get the full details!

Have a wonderful Memorial Day and a wonderful week.  See you in the Library!

Regards,
Nancy Cohen, Library Director
