This Week at Your Library: Feb. 23
|
Dear Library Member,
If you're an Academy Awards fan like me, you'll be anxiously awaiting Oscar presentations tonight. My favorite 2014 nominated film is the zany The Grand Budapest Hotel. It has more star power than a galaxy! Let me know what your favorite is and we'll post the results on our Facebook page!
For your viewing pleasure, come to the Library and check out a wide variety of films, both domestic and foreign. You can check out my favorite Oscar-nominated film or borrow some of the hundreds of other films we have!
On another note, a couple of Idea Farm Classes this week still have limited open spots. Vinyl Decal Class on Monday, February 23 at 7 pm will teach you how to make decorative vinyl decals for your mobile device, walls, or windows. On Saturday, February 28 at 2 pm, the Arduino Practice Workshop will give you hands-on experience with Ardunio microcontrollers to create sensor projects. Walk-ins welcome for Vinyl Decal Class.
This is Pirate Week at the Library with pirate-themed events for all ages. Join the scavenger hunt, come for crafts and games, and watch The Pirates of Penzance.
We celebrate Read Across America this Saturday at 2pm. An initiative of the National Education Association, this event focuses on motivating children and teens to read and celebrates the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Our event is managed by the Teens Taking Action group. Come read with us!
"You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child." Dr. Seuss. Keep warm and be well. See you in the Library. Regards,
