This Week At Your Library: Sept. 29
|
If you missed our Jazz Concert in Memory of Herb Gordon in September, you can catch some of it on OBTV-15 on Sunday, September 28th at Noon and 8pm. That should be the day this newsletter lands in your inbox, so make sure to tune in - it's the next best thing to being at the concert! Thanks again to the family of Herb for arranging a fantastic musical event!
The Community Cookbook Recipe Drive is Live! Visit the link to submit recipes for inclusion in our upcoming cookbook. Thanks to those folks who have already sent recipes. I am debating which my top secret salsa recipes are worthy of inclusion...
Our Idea Farm Community Workshop now features Open Hours on Tuesday from 6pm-8pm and Sundays from 2pm to 4pm. If you've taken our safety class, you're welcome to use the workshop for your own projects though you will need training on some devices such as the vinyl cutter.
Also open is our 3D Printing Queue. If you want to test out a 3D design you've created, or want to print a design you've downloaded from www.thingiverse.com or other 3D design websites, you can now submit it to use and we will print it. Due to demand and the speed of 3D printing, this can take a while to complete but we will get your print to you when it hits the top of our print queue. Costs for 3D printing are $ 0.25 per .1 ounce to cover consumable costs. (Most things folks are printing seem to cost about $1.50)
