This Week At Your Library: Sept. 1
September means Change, Food, and Jazz!
 
 
School is starting and will be seeing lots of students in the upcoming months doing research, studying, or just hanging out in their public library. Welcome back, students and teachers!

Upcoming this week and in the weeks ahead, a few programs for you to come and take part in:

  • Our free English as a Second Language classes are back in session on September 9th at 7pm. Forward this email to any Old Bridge resident who might be interested!
  • September 8th, 7pm: How to Make Change Happen.
  • September 10th, 7pm: Can Raw Foods Heal You? Vegan & Environmentalist Trish Knudsen speaks of plant-based diets and their impact on the body.
  • September 13: Our Second Saturday Concert is a Jersey Jazz Concert in honor of Herb Gordon, long time library volunteer and community member. Many thanks to the Gordon Family for making this performance possible.
  • Starting September 17th: One-on-One Free Business Counseling - courtesy of the non-profit business mentoring group SCORE. Every third Wednesday of the month we will have two hour-long one-on-one mentoring sessions for business people.Sign up for business mentoring here (scroll down to Sept. 17 for our time slots, and every third Wednesday of the month thereafter.
