This Week At Your Library: July 14
Summer! Food! Rockets! Idea Farm!

A few items for your consideration!

Idea Farm demonstrations and Safety Classes are ongoing! We are preparing for Open Workshop Hours for folks who want to tinker, use our in-house tools, or work with the equipment we have on hand - but you'll need to complete a Safety Class first! Here are the next few events, and their registration links:

We hope to see you at these and other future events!

We accept food donations inside the Library for the neighboring Old Bridge Food Bank. Citizens facing challenges have relied on the OBFB for decades, and Hurricane Sandy in particular was a major moment in their history of service to the community.

Fall is coming, and the OBFB would appreciate any food you might want to contribute as they stock up for those lean, bad-weather months.

Here is a list of the most in-demand foods for this year. The Food Bank is directly across the Parking Lot from us; feel free to come in and drop donations off in their donation cart here in the Library if the Food Bank is closed.

Regards,
Darren Miguez, Library Director

"Those who declared librarians obsolete when the Internet rage first appeared are now red-faced. We need them more than ever. The Internet is full of 'stuff' but its value and readability is often questionable. 'Stuff' doesn't give you a competitive edge, high-quality related information does."
