This Week At Your Library: July 7
|
Fun in the Sun, and Irish Music! |
I hope you had a great 4th of July!
If you're looking for something to do on sunny days, don't forget our Museum Pass Program. I recently went to the Grounds for Sculpture sculpture garden. It's an extraordinary place to explore, and you can do so free with one of the museum passes provided by our Friends of the Library.
We are looking at adding some different museums this upcoming year based on requests from Library Members, so keep an eye on our website.
Also, this Saturday, July 12th, join us at 2:30pm for our free Second Saturday concert. This month we present the music of Kevin McGowan! He will be playing Rock, Pop, and Irish music - be sure to stop in! As usual, light refreshments will be served.

"The library is not a shrine for the worship of books. It is not a temple where literary incense must be burned or where one's devotion to the bound book is expressed in ritual. A library, to modify the famous metaphor of Socrates, should be the delivery room for the birth of ideas - a place where history comes to life." Norman Cousins (1915-1990) -- Journalist, Author, Professor
