The Idea Farm Launch Recap |
Our community makerspace workshop and demonstration garden debuted this last Saturday: The Idea Farm.
Thanks to the 200 or so folks who attended our Idea Farm Launch Event, including Mayor Owen Henry, State Senator Sam Thompson, and Council Members Debbie Parker, Mary Sohor, Alan Rosencranz, and Lucille Panos.
Special thanks also to the many people who helped make it possible: the State Library and Library Link NJ, Boy Scout Troop 219, the Old Bridge Community Garden Steering Committee, Rutgers Master Gardeners, Society Hill Garden Club, Friends of the Library and of course our volunteers and staff who made the event possible.
If you want some info on the launch but could note make it, here are some items of interest:
We will be adding workshops and classes going forward! We are looking for community mentors, and will be contacting those who have offered to help make the Idea Farm a vibrant community space in the days ahead.
Thank again to all who attended, and we look forward to seeing this workshop and garden grow and evolve to meet the needs of our community.
Regards,
