This Week At Your Library: April 28
Spring is in the air! Also, bees.

Two programs of note this week!

First, on Wednesday at 7pm, we have a great author talk with historian Dave Martin who will take us back to the days of the Civil War as he talks about New Jersey's famous generals.

We have an interesting program coming up for the community on Sunday, May 4th. Doctor Pat Kolar Patlawsky will be here at 2pm to talk about bees, beekeeping, and the health benefits that have resulted from apitherapy. For thousands of years, honey has been used medicinally in India, Russia, Egypt and Greece. Doctor Patlawsky will give us a glimpse of the properties that caused ancient civilizations to value honey, and the modern explanations for its antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

We hope to see you in the library for these two programs and our many other offerings!

Regards,
Darren Miguez, Library Director

"My son placed that brand new driver's license in his wallet alongside his library card, and it occurred to me that these two documents have much in common. Both support America's free and independent way of life. The driver's license allows my son, and all of our sons and daughters, the individual freedom of personal mobility. The library card gives him, and all of our sons and daughters, the freedom of thought and speech so essential for members of a democratic society."
