Books on the Go
Dear Library Member,

A few things as we look forward to warmer weather.

If you are a commuter, planning a vacation, or have any sort of vision impairment, you should know about the various audiobook options we have available for you.

In addition to audiobooks on CD, you might want to look into our downloadable audiobooks. They can be used on a desktop PC, tablet computer, or smartphone. Downloadable audiobooks are available online 24/7 no matter where you are.

Another convenient way to listen to a book is also available: the Playaway. This is an all-in-one audio player containing one audiobook. Add headphones, earbuds, or connect it to your car speakers, and you've got up to 14 hours of book read to you. I listened to "The Night Circus" By Erin Morgenstern on a trip last year and the Playaway was a great way to enjoy the book while driving. We have Adult and Young Adult books; fiction, biography, and non-fiction works are all available on Playaway.

For a demonstration of a Playaway, please visit speak to one of our librarians.

Also, a reminder -  we are looking for kids and teens to be part of our Book Buddies program. This has been a great success the last few years, and we are very happy to offer it again.

Regards,
Darren Miguez, Library Director
Playaways
Colleen loves Playaways! Look for the orange cases in front of the Passports Desk.
Playaways - Simple to use and smaller than a pack of cards.
