Database Spotlight:
Legal Form Library

This database thousands of every conceivable legal form for New Jersey in it.

This week our librarians used it  to find both a living will and a sample lease for a new landlord

It also has an Attorney Directory by practice area for folks needing legal assistance. Find it under the "Reference" section of the Old Bridge Library's database page.

Farewell 2013 and Hello 2014!
Dear Library Member,

It is hard to believe that a year has gone by so quickly. A year ago I became Director of the Old Bridge Public Library. It has been an absolute pleasure directing the Old Bridge Public Library and it's dynamic staff in our service to the community.

Over the last year we have upgraded our wireless network, started an email newsletter that you're reading right now, revitalized old services and added new ones - all to better serve our community. Please give us your feedback as we move ahead with our plans into this new year.

One thing we're doing is revisiting our Nook program. We have loaded our Nook e-readers with hundreds of classic public domain works. By checking out one of our Nooks, you'll be carrying with you the best of Dickens, Austen, Shakespeare, the entire Ramayana and Mahabharata, Aristotle, and many more - all contained in a package weighing less than the typical paperback book.

The next time you're looking to travel but are not sure quite what to read, consider checking out an entire portable library with our Nook program. The program will go live on January 6th. If there are any public domain works you would like to see on our Nooks, please email me and let me know.

Regards,
Darren Miguez, Library Director

"What libraries give you is all three tenses - the past tense; the present tense in which we live; and the future that we can only imagine. These places have teachers who are living and dead and we are lucky to have them. If I sit here and read Aristotle, he is speaking to me across a thousand years - more than a thousand years. That sense that I am in the company of the greatest people who ever lived is a humbling experience but a liberating experience."
