This Week At Your Library: December 9
eBay, Tales, and Apologies
Dear Library Member,

This Monday at 7pm is our rescheduled eBay program. Apologies for misquoting the date and time last week.

Also, this Saturday is our monthly Second Saturday Cultural Performance - please stop by for Winter Tales Well Told!

Continuing on the winter theme, Wednesday features "Winter Herbal Remedies" with herbal medicine practitioner Virginia Ahearn.

As a bit of forewarning, the 20th of December the library will be closed. The staff will be engaging in emergency preparedness training for Active Shooter Incidents, Fire Evacuation, and Shelter in Place procedures with help from OBPD, OBFD, and the Old Bridge Township Office of Emergency Management. If you see our staff repeatedly fleeing the building as you pass by, please don't be alarmed - we are only practicing an evacuation!

Regards,
Darren Miguez, Library Director

"For years it was predicted that libraries would become superfluous - mausoleums for books - when so much was available on-line. Instead, library visits now far exceed annual attendance at sporting events, concerts, and museums combined. It turns out that the very electronic revolution that was supposed to make libraries obsolete has made them indispensable."
