This Week At Your Library: 11/11
|
eBay, Talking Books, and More... |
Dear Library Member,
If you or someone you know in our community has a visual impairment or reading disability, we have some good news - we may be able to get you a free audiobook player from the State Library. Our staff have recently received training in the equipment and services offered by the New Jersey State Library Talking Book and Braille Center. We would love to connect folks with these offerings, so please contact us! Please forward this newsletter to anyone you know who might benefit from it, or otherwise direct them to our Library staff.
As a note, we also have braille books in our children's department for any child who reads braille or is interested in learning braille.
This week features a variety of programs the public has asked for, and we are happy to provide them! Please note our Program Spotlights below. We have events for teen authors and potential eBay sellers.
We look forward to seeing you!
Regards,
|

Literature is my Utopia. Here I am not disenfranchised. No barrier of the senses shuts me out from the sweet, gracious discourses of my book friends. They talk to me without embarrassment or awkwardness. Helen Keller - American Author, Political Activist, and Advocate for the Disabled.
