Partnership Investment Program
Join Us!

Thanks to the generous annual support of our Partners, DevelopSpringfield continues to strengthen its efforts to stimulate revitalization and economic development in Springfield.

Our annual campaign for our Partnership Investment Program is underway, and you are invited  to invest in the work of DevelopSpringfield.  By joining us as a Partner, you will help to provide a foundation of financial support to strengthen our work while having the opportunity to participate in strategic planning and advisory groups that help shape our direction and focus in areas such as real estate strategy; and urban development and design.

Special thanks to Baystate Health and MassMutual Financial Group for their extraordinary support as Leadership Partners again this year. Our current Business and Non Profit Partners who have joined us already in our 2015-2016 campaign include: 122 Chestnut, LLC, Associated Building Wreckers, Bacon Wilson, P.C., Columbia Gas of Massachusetts; Common Capital, Dianne and Paul Doherty, Guy Dalton-GZA, MassLive, NUVO Bank & Trust Co., Raymond James, Springfield College, Springfield Housing Authority, Studio One and United Personnel Services. We are grateful to all of them for their support as well as our Individual Partners. Please join them in supporting DevelopSpringfield in our collective efforts to revitalize Springfield.

Looking for Office Space?

We have some exciting, unique space which will available next spring at 83 Maple Street. The property is a beautiful Greek Revival style structure located at the corner of Maple and Union Streets. Over the winter months we'll be putting finishing touches on the interior of this property in preparation of welcoming new business tenants. If you have plans to relocate and are interested in some really special office space in a thoughtfully rehabilitated historic building, give us a call! This building is a part of a comprehensive new office campus called the Lower Maple Business Park. Rehabiliation of the adjacent, historic former Female Seminary at 77 Maple Street and a Carriage House on the site, will complete the available offerings in the months that follow the opening of 83 Maple Street. The campus will include ample parking for tenants and their visitors.

Another Project Underway

We recently purchased property at 90 Carew Street in Springfield's North End. The building is a vacant church which will be rehabilitated for office space for a local community organization. Stay tuned for news on that partnership in the coming weeks!

Curb Appeal Program

DevelopSpringfield's Curb Appeal Program aims to promote neighborhood revitalization by providing grants of up to $5,000 for exterior improvements to residential properties in certain target areas. Currently, program funds are limited to the tornado-impacted zone in portions of the Maple High Six Corners and Old Hill neighborhoods near Central Street, the new Elias Brookings Elementary School, and Springfield College. The program was very successful last Fall and funds were exhausted for this special program.

Thanks to a special grant from TD Charitable Foundation and the West Springfield Rotary Club, we are now able to continue work with Revitalize CDC on our collaboration to assist two more homeowners in this area with street visible home improvements. We'll share pictures soon of the completed projects.

Save the Date
It seems like just yesterday that we held our 4th Celebrate Springfield Annual Dinner event. Time flies!  Please "save the date" of Thursday, March 10, 2016 for our 5th Annual Dinner. We'll have additional information available in the coming months as plans come together, but we want to be sure you know to mark your calendars now. Last year's dinner was a sell-out and we want to be sure you have plenty of time to plan ahead.
