Spring Has Sprung

With Easter just around the corner, this month we take a look at some of the lovely seasonal designs to bring a bit of spring in to your home.

Keep your Easter egg cosy with this lovely design (above left) appropriately called Spring Rain Egg Cozy by V Vicatos.

A bunch of stash-busting tulips would make a lovely Easter gift and this design (above centre) is called  Flower - Bloem by Saartje de Bruijn.

Fancy an Easter egg hunt? Hylkje Bies' design (above right), Easter Decoration Egg can be made in lots of different sizes so you'll be able to hide them all over your garden.

Happy Hookers

Crochet is such a satisfying craft.  We love the immediacy of a crochet project, how quickly it grows and how soon it can be completed. We have become quite addicted to granny squares recently as a way to use up some of our stash, especially as we travel around the country - the perfect train project.
KnitPro offers many ranges of crochet hooks from the extremely popular Waves collection, with its colour coded sizing, to  the iconic Symfonie, which includes Tunisian hooks. Some of our hooks have rubber handles and some are made from high quality wood and metal.  It just depends what feels good in your hands.
Whichever you choose you can be sure they have been made with great care and attention to give you the best crochet experience we can.

Dovestone Small Holding

We are huge fans of Baa Ram Ewe's yarns.  The first to launch was Titus - a delicious 4 ply made from British Wool and Alpaca.  Their latest yarn is Dovestone a blend of British wool featuring the Masham sheep and we absolutely love the way it handles both on needles and hooks.

Now there is a new book to celebrate this latest versatile yarn.  Called Dovestone Small Holding by Ella Austin it is a lovely collection of toy patterns including the kind of animals you might find on a small holding, the clue is in the title, complete with their human called Lucy.  Each pattern is really clearly laid out with close up photography to help you.

This book is  a great way to try out  lots of new techniques such as Fair Isle, cabling and intarsia and if you have never knitted a toy, this is the perfect place to start.

We have a copy of this delightful book to giveaway this month on  our Facebook page
