A Good Read

There are so many wonderful knitting and crochet books out there full of new patterns or interesting techniques for you to try. With the festive season just around the corner here are a few of our favourites you might like to add to your Christmas wish list.

Carol Feller has launched a wonderful new book called Short Row Knits which is not only packed with great designs but is also a masterclass in short row shaping with lots of detailed pictures to help you if the technique is new to you.

Rosemary or Romi Hill is well known for her knitted lace designs.  Her latest offering, New Lace Knitting, has been an instant success and takes a loving look at traditional lace motifs through a range of garment and accessory designs.

Animal Heads: Trophy Heads to Crochet is a quirky book by Vanessa Mooncie packed full of great crochet projects of animal heads to bring some fun to your home.

We have a copy of Romi Hill's book as part of this month's giveaway. Simply by having signed up to this newsletter your name will be entered.

Stocking Fillers

At KnitPro we have lots of ideas for stocking fillers for your yarnie friends; perfect little gifts to say you care.

  • Stitch Holders are essential for the person who has lots of projects on the go.
  • If you love to knit socks or mittens, our DPN Tubes are a great way to make sure you don't lose any stitches.
  • If you are using straight or circular needles our Point Protectors will also make sure your stitches don't slip off the needle.
  • Whether you knit or crochet, Locking Stitch Markers are really useful to mark pattern repeats or hold a crochet stitch as you make motifs.
  • Looking to use up some stash?  Bag projects are a great option and these handles are super stylish.
  • Do you know a youngster who wants to get in to craft.  Our Knitting Dolly will surely make them smile on Christmas morning.

Wonderful Kits

Knitting or crochet kits make a wonderful present and there are more on offer than ever before. They also make it easier for your loved ones to get you just the right present with everything you need.

This Herdy cushion cover, pictured on the right, takes their lovely, iconic logo and applies it in deliciously bright colours to a huggable cushion.

Jane Crowfoot is so good at putting colours together and her kits are always a delight to crochet. Her Mystical Lanterns kit encapsulates her talent for design.

If you haven't come across The Little Grey Sheep brand before, let us introduce you.  Based on a farm in Hampshire, they rear their own sheep whose fleeces are spun in Devon before being dyed on the farm into a range of truly delicious colours,  Our favourite kit at the moment is this Abstract Shawl.

Toft Alpaca is another brand that spins their beautiful yarn here in the UK. This crochet dinosaur kit is one we are dying to get our hands on.

We hope our selection has tempted you but we would love to hear about any other kits you have come across
