A House that is a Home

Nothing makes a home more cosy than a beautiful piece of hand knitting or crochet.  We love to place a few hand knitted cushions on the sofa or snuggle up in to a big soft crocheted wrap. Choosing a pattern for the home is every bit as exciting as a garment. We often feel like being more bold than we would with something we wear - more experimental with colour and structure.  See what you think of our selection.

Until the end of October the pattern for Juliet's Felted Stitch Bowl will be free.  Just click on the photo and use the code KnitPro11 at the check out.

A Knook of a technique

Knooking is a great way of producing innovative projects for your home. A cross between a crochet hook and a big sewing needle the Knook allows you to create a knitted fabric as well as crocheted pieces or even mix and match.

Here is a video we like to help you get the most out of this innovative new product.

The Knitting and Stitching Show 8-12th October 2014

Fondly known as Ally Pally, the Knitting and Stitching show is a fantastic event that takes place at the old BBC broadcasting hub in North London. Not only are the views across the capital stunning as you arrive, but the 3 halls of wonderful products always leave us breathless with excitement.

This year the event is on for an extra day, starting on Wednesday, so even more visitors and even more exciting things to see.

One of our favourite stands is Black Sheep Wools - they always have the most amazing bargains.  Sara Mulvey, their Marketing Director, explains why they love the show so much: "It's just the best collection of everything knitting related you will ever get in one place! Surrounded by yarn and surrounded by knitters and crocheters - heaven!"

Some of our needles and hooks will be used for demonstrations on the Stylecraft and the Yarn Stories stands so do visit.

You can get tickets to the show here - it is a wonderful day out.
