Little Bundles of Joy

May is such a wonderful month full of promise and new life.  The trees are bursting into leaf and, if you are lucky enough to live in the country, there are lambs and chicks wherever you look.

Likewise there seem to be a lot of babies on the way, which is so exciting. What a lovely thing it is to knit for these bundles of joy.  We would like to show you some of our favourite, tried and tested patterns..

Useful accessories

While we know you are familiar with our needles and hooks we also make some wonderfully useful accessories which we would like to feature for you.

The Needle View Sizer is a tool we wouldn't be without.  Not only can we check needle sizes, but we can check our tension as well as using the handy magnifying bar to read our knitting charts. It's almost like the Swiss army knife of knitting tools.

Talking of charts, we have a fantastic Chart Keeper called the Magma. The magnetic bars hold your chart in place while the strip marks exactly which line you are on. This is a great accessory to have whether you are knitting at home or on the move.

Do you have a favourite knitting or crochet tool from our collection?

Knitting Around The World

Wherever we travel in the world we are amazed by how similar yet how different knitting techniques are.  We all produce a similar fabric at the end of the day, but the way we hold the needles or the yarn varies enormously.  Human beings  are so inventive.

To celebrate this diversity we are going to take you on a journey around the world to discover new techniques .  Our friend Priya has a great video for you, which shows how they cast on in India. We think you'll be amazed.
