Head of Downtown Campus

The last day of school is here! We had a wonderful Awards Day yesterday, celebrating the serious, the sublime and the silly moments of the 2013-14 school year. Following Awards Day, the faculty and staff, seniors, and senior parents enjoyed the Senior Luncheon featuring speeches about each of our seniors. This is one of my very favorite St. Francis traditions; the speeches every year amaze me with the degree of affection, respect, and individual knowledge of each student they demonstrate.

This is our final Wyvern Weekly of the school year. Parents will hear from us around June 4thvia email to indicate that final grades have been posted. We will have a summer Thoughts! issue out around the first of July. And, of course, you'll hear from us about the upcoming school year as the summer wears on.

It has been a fantastic year, and I am grateful to our wonderful parents, faculty, staff, and students for making it that way. We look forward to summer as a time to refresh and recharge, but I can tell you I'm already thinking about August 14th and the whole new year that will unfold then. Have a fabulous summer!

Book Buy Back Days are next Thursday, May 29th from 11:00-3:00 and Friday, May 30th from 10:00-noon. Email Jane Tierney jane.tierney@me.com and tell her when you'll be helping--IT'S YOUR LAST CHANCE TO VOLUNTEER THIS SCHOOL YEAR!!

I want to give a huge shout out to my hard-working, enthusiastic, fun-to-be-around PA Board. You all have been a great team all year and our success is due to all your hard work. Thank you to Andrea Melendez, Beverly Cote, Cheri Baize, Dianne Sicilliano, Rhona Kamar, Felicia Goodman, Beth Kuhn, Jane Tierney, Karen Morrison, and Tess Krebs. Also, many thanks go to Bobby Steuer for being our administrative go-to guy and all around great support person. It's been both a pleasure and an honor to work with all of you. You all are the best Wyverns ever!!
