Are you interested in developing land practices that protect the sacred sites in your tribal boundaries?

Learn new land planning approaches and erosion control practices that can be implemented within your tribe at the 2016 Stream Restoration Tour!

Transportation to stream sites will be provided. Please bring cash for lunch (around $10). Long pants, waterproof shoes or boots, sunscreen, hats, and bug repellent are suggested to make your day comfortable. For those interested, a bus will be leaving from OSU Tulsa at 7:30 a.m. to bring tour participants to Tahlequah.

EDC: Smarter Work Zones

Implementing Smarter Work Zones (SWZ) can reduce fatalities, injuries and congestion in work zones. Learn innovative strategies to better coordinate construction projects and maximize work zone safety.

Topics covered include developing processes to better track when and where work zones are happening in a region, travel time and alternate route advisory systems and other policies, best practices and tools for local and tribal agencies.

Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Planning

June 29 - 9 a.m. to 12 noon

This course is intended to equip participants with tools and knowledge to improve safety conditions for all road users in their communities, specifically pedestrians and bicyclists.

Participants will walk through the beginning stages of planning their pedestrian and bike safety improvement project and come away with knowledge and skills to follow through with the plan they have begun.

ArcGIS: Map Making in ArcMap

August 3
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In this workshop, students will review various techniques of displaying data in ArcMap, while practicing creating map layouts. 
Instructor: Pam Jurney. (Attendance of ArcGIS Workshop 1 is not required but strongly encouraged.)
A commercial license is required for driving vehicles designed to transport 16 or more passengers including the driver, or vehicles with a Gross Motor Vehicle Weight over 26,001 lbs.
CDL Exam Prep Class

August 23

This class prepares you to take the state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) written exam.

TTAP Program Manger Karla Sisco will lead participants through the Model Commercial Driver License Manual.

Oklahoma DPS Deputy Director Tammy Shepherd will offer instruction in how to perform the vehicle walk around inspection during the driving portion of the exam.
