The SAFE-T crash data system is new and improved! Sign up now for the
March 12 training in OKC!

The new and improved Crash Data Collection class (SAFE-T Collision Studies) is here! This is your chance to learn how to access the State's crash data system and pull reports for your area.

Oklahoma DOT's Crash Data Reporting System, SAFE-T, has been recently updated! This new training will guide you through SAFE-T and give you access to crash data for your area. Reports generated by the system are used by state, tribal, and local employees to identify problem areas and plan roadway changes. The reports include maps showing locations of collisions and an analysis of when and why collisions occur. The system has the ability to search for locations by number of collisions, and the lists included in the reports give general information on each collision. This 3 1/2 hour class is conducted by Kevin Drury, Oklahoma DOT, Traffic Enginering Division, Collision Analysis & Safety Branch.

Motor vehicle crashes leave an indelible mark on virtually every community. Traveling our national roadways network by car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, or as a pedestrian, is a daily requirement for a large segment of the population, from infants to grandparents.  More than 2750 Native Americans and Alaska Natives lost their lives in reported roadway crashes from 2007-2011. In the interest of improving the transportation safety in the Ponca, Kaw, and Tonkawa communities, state, county, tribal, and local leaders will discuss safety concerns for Kay County and these northern Oklahoma tribal jurisdictional areas. The goal for the meeting will be to produce a Tribal Safety Plan that will demonstrate the safety concerns in the community and the prioritized strategies that will be explored to implement the plan.

Emergency Preparedness Handbook

Once a disaster hits, it's too late to plan.

Be ready with the Emergency Preparedness Handbook for Tribal Governments.

Responding to an emergency and properly protecting the public and property require considerable advanced planning. Not all emergencies can be handled solely by tribal governments. Like other governments tribes, may need assistance in both emergency response and planning for natural disasters.  Find out MORE.
