Sweet! Basic Accounting is set for Thursday!

Here's your chance to sweeten your accounting skills and better track your agency's financial records.

Basic Accounting (Tribal RoadStar Program - Course 2) -

The skills gained from the TTAP Basic Accounting class will help students to provide information about the financial position of their agency or tribe. Class participants will learn to create financial records of business transactions and prepare statements containing the assets, liabilities, and operating results of a business. They will also gain knowledge on maintaining and auditing these quantitative records, while preparing financial reports such as the income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.

Offering an overview of accounting, the TTAP Basic Accounting

class is designed to provide non-accounting professionals a guide for better financial management.

Mark Masters of CHLOETA Fire conducted the training which outlined how ICS became the standard for emergency management across the country. Types of incidents discussed included planned events, fire, hazardous materials, search and rescue missions, oil spills, natural disasters, and terrorist/weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

Crash Data Collection training boasts new and improved SAFE-T System

Sign up for March 12 class!

The new and improved Crash Data Collection class (SAFE-T Collision Studies) is here!

Oklahoma DOT's Crash Data Reporting System, SAFE-T, has been recently updated! This new training will guide you through SAFE-T and give you access to crash data for your area. Reports generated by the system are used by state, tribal, and local employees to identify problem areas and plan roadway changes. The reports include maps showing locations of collisions and an analysis of when and why collisions occur. The system has the ability to search for locations by number of collisions, and the lists included in the reports give general information on each collision. This 3 1/2 hour class is conducted by Kevin Drury, Oklahoma DOT, Traffic Enginering Division, Collision Analysis & Safety Branch.
