NEW from ODOT!
Crash Data collection training
October 30 in OKC

If it's been awhile since you've trained on Oklahoma DOT's SAFE-T system, it's time for a REFRESHER. A training on the updated crash data system is scheduled for Thursday, October 30 at the ODOT Training Center.

This Crash Data Collection class will teach you how to log in to Oklahoma DOT's Safe-T-System, where you will be able to access crash data for your area. Reports generated by the system are used by state, tribal, and local employees to identify problem areas and plan roadway changes. The reports include maps showing locations of collisions and an analysis of when and why collisions occurred. The system has the ability to search for locations by number of collisions, and the lists included in the reports give general information on each collision. This 2 1/2 hour class will be conducted by Paul Richardson, Oklahoma DOT, Traffic Engineering Division, Collision Analysis & Safety Branch.

LIMITED NUMBER OF SPOTS AVAILABLE!!

Class is set for 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm on Thursday, October 30

Now scheduling First Aid/CPR or Defensive Driving

The National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course strives to ensure that people get what they need to drive defensively--knowledge, skills and perspective that will help them continue to prevent injuries and save lives. This 6-hour course helps develop collision avoidance behavior and safe driving practices, which can significantly reduce the number of crashes and citations your drivers might experience.

Proper First Aid Training that meets OSHA compliance requirements is an absolute must in order to protect the lives and health of your employees. It's also vital to the health of your organization. Consider the facts:

  • 13% of workplace deaths are from sudden cardiac arrest
  • 25% of all emergency room visits could be avoided if people knew basic first aid and CPR
  • Every dollar invested in first aid training wellness programs can reduce health care costs by $3.84, and lower absenteeism costs by $5.82
