Construction Management
Construction Management class coming to Tahlequah on August 5-6!
 
Construction Management & Cost Estimating, set for August 5-6 in Tahlequah, will offer guidance on overall construction management, quantity take off, cost estimates, historical data, materials/labor, and more. The 2-day overview will conclude with a practical application exercise in a case study. Instructor is Heather Yates, Ed. D, Associate Professor, Construction Management Technology, Oklahoma State University. 

 

This class is a component of the Tribal RoadStar Program of the Southern Plains TTAP.

Tulsa Pavement Preservation workshop set for August 7 at the Tulsa Technology Center
 

A site visit to an ongoing project highlights a comprehensive agenda designed for ODOT central office and district personnel, county engineers, consulting engineers, tribal roads personnel, and others at the upcoming Tulsa Pavement Preservation Workshop, set for Thursday, August 7 at the Tulsa Technology Center. 

 

Workshop topics include the following: pavement preservation concepts, process introduction, agency perspective, application techniques, site selection, combination treatments, and an opportunity for discussion with recognized industry leaders.

Oklahoma Tribal Transportation Council: Meeting scheduled for July 17

 

The Oklahoma Tribal Transportation Council meeting is set for Thursday, July 17, in the Commission Room at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in Oklahoma City.

 

On the agenda will be a report on Tribal Consultation on the Tribal Transportation Planning Process by Jaime Torres-Gonzalez, FHWA.

Environmental Issues & NEPA class is coming to Stillwater August 26

 

Environmental Issues & NEPA class is coming to the Southern Plains TTAP Center on Tuesday, August 26.

 

This one-day training will cover Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and important provisions of Section 4(f) of the US DOT Act. In the morning session, FHWA will provide a background discussion of the key laws and regulations regarding historic resources and NEPA. In the afternoon session, ODOT will discuss the specific environmental and cultural procedures and requirements followed by the state.  

  

Instructors will be John Hartley, FHWA, and Rhonda Fair and Scott Sundermeyer, Oklahoma DOT. 

 

This class is a component of the Tribal RoadStar Program of the Southern Plains TTAP.

RIFDS Training coming to Albuquerque in August 
 

BIA-DOT has scheduled two RIFDS Training sessions  in August.  Training will be held at the NIPTC located at 1011 Indian School Road NW, Room 268.

 

Session 1:  August 6-7, 2014  

Session 2:  August 12-13, 2014 


Classroom size will be limited to 30 people.  Anyone wanting to sign up for the training can contact Minerva Chavez at
