Pawnee Nation
Road Safety Audit
Training and Field Visit
December 5-6, 2013
8:30 am to 4:00 pm

The Southern Plains TTAP will be holding an RSA Training session and RSA with the Pawnee Nation on December 5-6 at the Roam Chief Center in Pawnee, OK.  In the interest of improving safety, we would like to ask you to participate in this RSA.

What is an RSA?

A Road Safety Audit, or RSA, is an effective tool for improving safety on and along roadways and is one of the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) "nine proven safety countermeasures."

Safety Measures.

It is a formal safety examination of an existing or future roadway and is conducted by an independent, experienced, and multidisciplinary team (FHWA RSA).

Originally RSAs were predominantly sponsored by FHWA, now RSAs are common tools that State, local, and other agencies use to proactively improve safety.

Following in the path of State and local agencies, Federal Land Management Agencies (FLMAs) and Tribal governments are beginning to witness the benefits of conducting RSAs.

We hope you will be able to join us in our efforts to improve the safety for all roadway users in Pawnee County!
