Crash Data

Crash Data Collection training coming

Monday, November 18, at ODOT Training Center

Millions of dollars are spent annually to make our highways safe and efficient, with most safety improvements resulting from the analysis of crash information at specific locations. The Crash Data Collection class will teach you how to log in to the Oklahoma's Safe-T System where you will be able to access crash data for your area. This 2 1/2 hour class will be conducted by Paul Richardson, Oklahoma DOT, Traffic Engineering Division, Collision Analysis & Safety Branch.

This training will provide access to important data as you move forward in safety planning!

FTA's Safety Advance Notice of Proposed Rule Making:
The Safety and Transit Asset Management Plan

Many of the requirements of the National Safety Program and the
National TAM System apply equally to all modes of public transportation.

FTA seeks public comment on its initial interpretations, proposals under consideration, and numerous listed questions regarding: (1) the requirements of the National Safety Program; (2) the requirements of the National Transit Asset Management System, including four proposed options for defining and measuring state of good repair; and (3) the relationship between safety, transit asset management and state of good repair. FTA is also seeking comment on its intent to use a Safety Management System (SMS) approach to guide the development and implementation of the National Safety Program.
Comments are due to FTA by January 2, 2014.
