 CDL Exam Prep Class in Ada February 13-14
This course provides driver license testing information for drivers who wish to have a commercial driver license (CDL).
The class will help the student prepare for the test, while providing critical information regarding driving safely, transporting cargo and passengers safely, air brakes, tank vehicles, hazardous materials, school bus, pre-vehicle inspection, combination vehicles, and more.

 ArcGIS Basics II February 28-March 1
This two-day training course is designed to improve the basic skills for those who are familiar with ArcGIS 10 software. A working knowledge of ArcMap is required. Highlights of the course include style management, tools in ArcToolbox, additional toolbars, editing, more with geodatabases, data production, and data analysis. Students will learn how to customize their ArcMap interface, practice basic and more advanced editing techniques, and create sophisticated map layouts.

SWTA Conference 2013 Public transit agencies convene at Little Rock
Little Rock, Arkansas was the site of this year's Southwest Transit Association Conference, an annual event which brings together attendees, exhibitors and specials guests. This year's event was held February 3-6 at the Peabody Hotel.
Coordinated transportation links veterans, persons with disabilities and an aging population to healthcare family and entertainment. Economic corridors along public transportation routes link rural communities with metropolitan hubs that provide jobs, education, and access to services. This year's conference highlighted an industry that is vital to the future of this country while providing opportunities to learn, network and share ideas that help public providers.
Pelivan Transit's Debbie McGlasson, Big Cabin, OK, presented a session on "Successfully Implementing Change and Building Consensus." In it, she discussed the importance of the right technical partners and tools for better managing an organization's foray into change.
Charla Sloan, Transit Director, KI BOIS, Stigler, OK presented on "Creative Partnerships: From Concept to Reality." In this session, Charla discussed partnerships with Cherokee Nation and Muscogee Creek Nation.

Navigating MAP-21: How to make the most of federal dollars for bicycle and pedestrian transportation

About the Workshop:
Millions in potential federal funding for bicycle and pedestrian projects goes untapped every year. Cities and states are also stepping up their investment in biking and walking. To take biking and walking to the next level, advocates need to tools to unleash current and new sources of funding.
Advocacy Advance has facilitated Action 2020 Workshops (now called "Navigating MAP-21 Workshops") around the country since 2011. These workshops are designed to provide the knowledge, skills and resources to access untapped or under-utilized federal funding sources at the state, regional and local level to build bicycling and walking infrastructure and programs.
With a focus on the new transportation bill, Navigating MAP-21 Workshop participants will learn how to maximize funding in the new Transportation Alternatives program and utilize all MAP-21 funding programs for bicycle and pedestrian projects at the state and local levels.
Who should attend?
Navigating MAP-21 Workshops are intended to bring together:

· Elected officials
