"The Life & Impact of Andrew Carnegie on the Shaping of New York" is the third in our series of talks "The Scots Who Built New York", presented as part of the Landmarks50 series of events.
Presented by historian & architect John Kinnear, the evening will be held at and in collaboration with the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

Over the Halloween weekend, we invite you to add your voice to the conversation and join us in Detroit for the Annual Scottish NA Leadership Conference presented by the Detroit Scots, Chicago Scots, American-Scottish Foundation and in association with COSCA and CASSOC
The panels on Saturday will focus on Strength Through Collaboration among the Multiple Scottish North American Organizations; Effective Use of Social Media; and Development of Effective Solicitation of Sponsors for Scottish North American Organizations.
Scottish NA Leadership Conference 2013 took place in Chicago, hosted by the Chicago Scots. In 2014 Rountables took place in Edinburgh & New York. This year SNALC is hosted by the St Andrews Society of Detroit.

The weekend of October 30th begins with a Highland Dinner on the Friday night followed by a full day of panel discussions with a chance to air views and ideas around the central topic of "Strength in Collaboration". This is followed on the Sunday by wrap up sessions and break out groups.
The Board of the American-Scottish Foundation invites you to join us on Friday November 13th as we present the
Sir Thomas (Tom) Devine and Kenneth Miller. We will be joined by
Honored Guest Richard Lochhead, MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Food & the Enviroment.
Co-Chaired by Elizabeth DeForest Scott, Lorraine Bell and M. Douglas Dunn, the evening will recognize the outstanding work of our distinguished honorees and support the the Lord Malcolm Douglas-Hamilton Youth Bursary program and the work of the Foundation.
The evening will begin with a reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, awards, a live auction conducted by George McNeely and music from Alex Donner.

The Annual Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend is one of the Foundation's favorite events - a wonderful weekend with the historic town of Alexandria decked for the holidays.
