Join us on Wednesday October 15th as ASF presents the first in a series of talks on The Scots Who Built New York's Landmarks.

     

The American-Scottish FoundationŽ is honored to have been invited to join the Landmarks 50 project and to develop 'The Scots Who Built New York's Landmarks', celebrating the contribution of Scottish Americans to the building of New York.

THE SCOTS WHO BUILT NEW YORK'S LANDMARKS is in the early stages of development, and will chart the impact of Design, Development and Building of New York by leading Scottish architects & philanthropists.

A series of lectures in planned, together with an exhibit later in 2015, with the first Talk being on the work of Charles McKim.

The Directors of the American-Scottish FoundationŽ invite you to attend the ASF Wallace AwardŽ Gala Dinner on Friday, November 14, 2014 which will be presented to Claudio Del  Vecchio, Chairman & CEO, Brooks Brothers.

 

 

ASF will also recognize the 40th Anniversary of the First Scotland Week in New York, which took place from November 11th - 18th 1974. 

 

Instituted by Lady Douglas-Hamilton, Chairman of the Foundation, she declared "Scotland Week marks the first official week- long celebration of Scottish-American ties and ...will be an annual event in the future". 

 

We will toast Lady Douglas-Hamilton for her vision.

The 12th Annual Scottish North American Leadership Roundtable is an opportunity for the Scottish North American community to share views, values, experiences and best practices. 

 

Panel Discussions : 9.30am - 4pm

 

The Roundtable will be followed by a 

Reception & Talk hosted by 

Professor Sir Ian Diamond, Principal of 

The University of Aberdeen

 

Professor Michael Keating, Chair in Scottish Politics and Director of the Scottish Centre for Constitutional Change, will discuss 

"Scotland Post Referndum"

and celebrate the launch of the University of Aberdeen New York Alumni Chapter.

on Saturday April 11th

Join the thousands of Pipe Bands, Dancers, Clans and Organizations - together with our wonderful pack of Scotties and Westies - as we celebrate Scottish -American heritage and march up Sixth Avenue.
