ASF marching in the Parade!

Thanks to all who turned out on National Tartan Day, April 6, to make up such a splendid group of marchers behind our flags and banner, during the 15th Annual New York Tartan Day Parade! Led up Sixth Avenue by our friends the New York Metro Pipe Band, a great day was had by all.  

 

With still more events to come this week; please do join us in celebrating Scots and Scots-American history, culture, friendship and innovation!  

 

Hope to see you at 12pm today, in the sunshine, at Bryant Park (42nd and 6th) for a free lunchtime concert from the St Columba School Pipe Band!

Tonight, at 6.00pm, please join us at Federal Hall for a viewing of photographic exhibit 'In the Footsteps of John Muir'.  Then on Thursday, come to the Bryant Park Hotel's private screening room for a preview of Scottish film 'We are Northern Lights'. More information below.

This exhibit traces Muir's early days in Dunbar, Scotland to his love of Yosemite, allowing one to see the environment Muir loved and did so much to help preserve.
