This Saturday, April 6th, Tartan Day will see Sixth Avenue, NYC (from 44th to 55th Street), awash in tartan and kilts, with Scottish Americans, and all those who love Scotland, cheering and taking part in the 15th Annual New York Tartan Day Parade. Viking jarl squad are heading to New York to take part in the 15th Annual New York Tartan Day parade, kitted out in their full Viking regalia!Shetland MSP Tavish Scott will be travelling with the squad, who are proud to be acting as ambassadors for the Island. Norse heritage is destinctive to Shetland. The Jarl squad will be showcasing the traditions ahead of Homecoming 2014 - encouraging people to come to Scotland and see Shetland for themselves next year.

This exhibit traces Muir's early days in Dunbar, Scotland to his love of Yosemite, allowing one to see the environment Muir loved and did so much to help preserve.
