ASF SCOTLAND -TARTAN WEEK EVENTS 2013

Scotland-Tartan Week is a period in our yearly calendar during which the reality of ASF's mission to serve as a bridge between America and Scotland most clearly manifests itself.

In 2013, we are thrilled that the 'week' is actually a fortnight of events from March 31st - April 14th.

Our varied program of events includes the ASF's Energy Forum: "The Power of Partnerships"; a month-long photographic exhibit  "In the Footsteps of John Muir" by Scottish photographer Ken Paterson, presented with National Parks at Federal Hall, Wall Street; At Bryant Park, St Columba School Pipe Band will perform a free lunchtime concert; and, preview  screenings of the critically acclaimed Scottish Documentary "We Are Northern Lights" will be shown at the Bryant Park Hotel Screening Theatre.

The highlight of the many varied and wonderful celebrations of Scotland's heritage, rests with the 15th Annual Tartan Day Parade which will actually be taking on Tartan Day itself this year!

ASF is a Founding Member of the National Tartan Day New York Committee, Inc. proud organizers of New York City's annual Tartan Day Parade - an event the Foundation helped launch 15 years ago.

We hope you will join us on Tartan Day by marching up 6th Avenue or cheering Parade-goers on from the sidewalk... either way, do please take part in New York City's 15th Annual Tartan Day Parade, and the ASF Post-Parade Reception, immediately following.

Please see full information on all of these events below, and get involved!

Kind Regards,
Camilla G. Hellman, MBE - Director of Development
