Lisa Madigan: Illinois' Queen of Gun Control
David A. Lombardo
If you believe that the Second Amendment is an individual right to bear arms to protect your country and yourself, then you have to dedicate yourself to voting Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan out of office in the upcoming election. Madigan has been actively doing everything she can to subvert the Bill of Rights.
In March of 2011, Madigan wanted to make the Illinois Firearm Owner's Identification card list public. She could have cared less that it would jeopardize law-abiding gun owners.
In January 2013, the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that legalizing concealed carry is long overdue. Judge Richard Posner, who wrote the majority opinion, said that there was nothing to suggest that criminal activity in Illinois was different enough from that in other states to justify taking a different approach to concealed carry.
Not good enough for Madigan, she asked the entire 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to review a lawsuit challenging the state's ban on concealed carry in an effort to salvage the only law in the nation that made the practice entirely illegal.
When the ruling stood, and after the Illinois General Assembly passed a court-mandated law allowing concealed carry, Madigan began a crusade to slow down and make the process as difficult as possible. Her disdain for the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling and the General Assembly's position was clear: she knew better than both the state legislature and the judicial system. This is a woman on a personal crusade, the will of the people be damned.
If Madigan is so anti-gun, why is it that Illinois has one of the lowest gun crime prosecution records in the United States? It's simple: Madigan doesn't care about gun crime. What she cares about is disarming John Q, simply because Madigan believes people should work for the government rather than government working for the people, a lesson she learned from her father.
Folks, come November, this is a numbers game pure and simple. There are approximately 7.3 million registered voters in Illinois and in the last general election about 3.0 million Democrats turned out against 2.1million Republicans. The problem is there are more Republican Illinois counties than Democrat by far, but Republicans had a lower turnout rate for the election.
This election is bigger than the concealed carry issue; it's about who should be in control-the government or the people it is supposed to serve. Illinois is one of the most corrupt, economically disadvantaged states in the Union. So it is imperative that anyone who believes government should work for John Q must turn out for the upcoming election and vote Madigan and all the liberal, big-government bums out of office once and for all.

Remington Great Americans Shoot to raise $1,000,000 for Special Forces Charitable Trust
The Remington Great Americans Shoot (RGAS) announces its inaugural kick-off event September 20th at the Cypress Valley Shooting Preserve, just north of Austin, Texas. This national shoot, sponsored by Remington Arms and The Special Forces Charitable Trust (SFCT), will bring together competitors from all over the country to honor and bring attention to the needs of our finest military warriors and their families. RGAS is a totally unique and new format shoot; there is not another like it in the country. The different aspects of this format and the amazing prize packages (unrivaled by any in the shooting world) result in some amazing fun and competition, but most importantly the proceeds will go directly to our soldiers. The format is 20 teams of five shooters will shoot at 50 clay pigeons. Using a fundraising site, DoJiggy, each shooter solicits pledges from friends, family and business associates for each bird they actually break. If they get a pledge for $5 for each bird they break, and hit 30 out of 50, that pledge is $150.There will be both individual and team champions. The single shooter that raises the most amount of money in pledges will be the "winner" of the shoot. The Grand Prize is a 2014 Jeep Rubicon. Each team will also be asked to choose a military charity they are passionate about. The first $500,000 of the total will go to support host SFCT. The remainder will be split between the top five fundraising teams, with 30%, 25%, 20%, 15%, and 10% earmarked to their charities. This makes the competition a win-win for all. Each shooter shall raise $10,000. This makes the shoot minimum $1,000,000.

Data shows significant rise in female hunters
The most recent U.S. Census found there are 13.7 million hunters in the nation, of which 11 percent are women. This number is growing according to the National Sporting Goods Association, which released information that between 2008-2009, while the total number of hunters in the U.S. decreased slightly, the number of female hunters increased by 5.4 percent. "The numbers are not a huge surprise for us as we've personally seen the passion for hunting grow among women through the last decade," said Próis President and Founder Kirstie Pike, referring to colleagues at her company, which is primarily made up of women who hunt. "This is part of the reason we started Próis, to focus on that growing trend." Próis was started by Pike after many years of frustration attempting to find hunting gear-designed for men-that worked for her and her body. And the numbers show she's most likely not alone. A U.S. Fish and Wildlife study found women hunters spent more than $71 million on hunting clothing alone in 2011, female hunters spending $4.2 billion on all hunting gear that same year. In addition it's not only the number of female hunters getting larger; the average annual spend of hunters is growing as well, now averaging $2,800 a year.

Hillary: gun control opponents' opinion
terrorizes America
Hillary Clinton all but called for the introduction of thought crime during a CNN town hall event recently when she asserted that gun control opponents should not be allowed to hold an opinion that "terrorizes" America. After a school teacher in the audience asked Clinton about high capacity magazines and assault weapons, the presumptive 2016 presidential candidate took the opportunity to go on an extraordinary anti-gun rant. "I'm well aware that this is a hot political subject, and I will speak out no matter what role I find myself in, but I believe that we need a more thoughtful conversation. We cannot let a minority of people-and it's, that's what it is, it is a minority of people-hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people," said Clinton. Clinton's claim that only a "minority" of Americans oppose gun control is contradicted by a recent Rasmussen poll which found that 53% of Americans oppose stricter gun control laws and only 40% of likely voters back tighter firearms restrictions.
