DeSantis Gunhide has introduced a Pop-Up holster made of premium saddle leather with rough side out design and features a tough powder coated "J" clip. The pistol rides low and out of sight. The draw is accomplished by pushing up at the muzzle end (through your slacks) and must be worn with a belt. Deep down design allows for complete concealment of your firearm. It's available for the Sig P238, Colt Pony and S&W Bodyguard 380 in left or right hand draw.

The Recluse TS, two sided cargo holster, is made to carry in the side pocket of cargo pants and shorts. The wider base provides for the handgun to remain in a consistent upright position yet with the innovative clamshell design the holster stays in the pocket when drawn. They're made of steer hide or horsehide in black or natural tan. With these additional models Recluse now provides cargo holsters for more than 40 handguns and will be adding more as requested.

Birchwood Casey has teamed up with the 3-Gun Nation to design a Dirty Bird Splattering Target for 3-gun competition. The new 17.25" target features an 8" primary, or "A" zone and a 17.25" secondary, or "B" zone. For scoring purposes, one hit in the red "A" zone counts as a neutralized target and two hits are necessary to count as a neutralized target anywhere in the black "B" zone. Dirty Bird Targets reveal a white "splatter" on bullet impact, making it easy to see where shots are landing. Five pack MSRP: $12.60

Illinois Concealed Carry - The will of the people?

David A. Lombardo

I know I've asked it before but I've yet to learn why it is when the left wins an election or passes a bill against the wishes of the right, it's simply the "will of the people" and conservatives should grow up. Yet when the tables are turned, the left immediately sets about to find a way to get around it. What exactly happens to the "will of the people" in that case?

So I see Pouting Lisa, Big Mike Madigan's spawn, has once again decided she's smarter than the legislature and the citizens of Illinois. I wonder from whom she gets her Messianic complex.

After months of haggling, stalling, and introducing amendments that don't have a ghost of a chance of garnering enough votes to pass, Big Mike crafts a concealed carry bill that no one likes but gets sufficient votes in both houses literally at the 11th hour.

Could anything be more reflective of the "will of the people" than a bill approved by Big Mike and Senate President John Cullerton, both dyed-in-the-wool anti-personal protection advocates. The thing was loaded with compromises to the point that both sides heaved a sigh of relief and voted yes to stop the madness. Then, and I have no doubt there was lightening hitting the State Capitol at the time, it was hand carried by anti-personal protection Senators Kwame Raoul and Gary Forby and unceremoniously dumped on the governor's desk. Seriously, could anything about the "will of the people" be clearer? Well, yes.

Pouting Lisa stamped her foot, gave a one finger salute to the tax payers of Illinois, the Illinois legislature and her own father - Big Mike, found a liberal justice who also believes in ignoring the "will of the people" when he doesn't like their will, and asks him for, and gets, an extension of the deadline. The resulting sound, of a couple million pro-personal protection folks slamming the lid on what was going to be their concealed carry weapon, was deafening.

Pouting Lisa is quoted on NBCChicago.com as saying, "This request for an additional 30 days would allow the governor a reasonable amount of time to fulfill his state constitutional duties."

Really? Did someone send the Gov a copy of the Governor For Dummies book? If he puts the bill on his pile of "Things to do to Fulfill the Governor's Constitutional Duties" it won't come to the top for about three years. As far as I can tell the only constitutional duty this governor's ever fulfilled is cashing his paycheck.

Even more ironic than the Democrats slaughtering each other over concealed carry is the notion that Pouting Lisa would do anything to help this Governor perform his duties faithfully. It's obvious she's doing her best to make a buffoon look even dumber because she covets the throne for her own. Pouting Lisa seeks to be the most powerful person in Illinois. Apparently she's never looked across the Thanksgiving dinner table and asked her father why he isn't the Governor. If she had, she'd know who really runs the State of Illinois.

But here we are once again, held hostage by a cabal of liberal, holier than thou bureaucrats, who are dedicated to putting their own personal agenda ahead of anyone's will, let alone the "will of the people," which prompts me to ask once again, "When are we going to Take Back America?"

Bloomberg -"Gun control agenda works"

but there's 25 shootings and 6 dead in NYC

Six dead and more than two dozen shootings in New York City over the weekend is a sign that Mayor Michael Bloomberg's anti-gun agenda - which he hopes to spread across the nation with his big bucks campaigns to buy away the gun rights of American citizens - is beginning to fail, the Seattle-based Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today. "Michael Bloomberg wants to use his wealth to buy Big Apple gun control all over the country," said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. "Despite reports that New York City violence is actually down from last year, over the weekend, that city accounted for half of the slayings that Seattle has seen so far for the entire first five months of the year. "Before Bloomberg spends another million dollars trying to spread his program of gun prohibition," he added, "the mayor ought to concentrate on his own turf and leave the rest of the nation alone." School says deaf boy's name sign

looks too much like a gun

According to 1011, a Lincoln, Nebraska-based online news source, the Grand Island (Neb.) school district wanted to force a 3-year-old deaf boy to change the way he signs his name because they say his gestures violate their weapons policy. Preschooler Hunter Spanjer's personalized name sign is a registered sign with Signing Exact English -- a modified form of American Sign Language -- and involves extended index fingers that the district says resembles a gun. "We are working with the parents to come to the best solution we can for the child," a school spokesperson said. "He's deaf, and his name sign, they say, is a violation of their weapons policy," explained Hunter's father, Brian Spanjer. Grand Island's "Weapons in Schools" Board Policy 8470 forbids "any instrument...that looks like a weapon," But a three year-old's hands?" Since the original story ran a week ago thousands of people have shown outrage over the incident but that's not the case for Grand Island Public Schools. They said they've been receiving hundreds of angry calls and emails, even death threats, and now the ACLU is getting involved. In response, the Grand Island Public School stated it has not changed the sign language name of any student nor is it requiring any student to change how his or her name is signed.

Gun Right Policy Conference

set for Houston in September

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) has set September 27 - 29 for its 28th annual Gun Right Policy Conference to be held at the Houston Airport Marriott on George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. "This is your once-a-year chance to network, get an insider's look, and plan pro-gun rights strategies for the coming year," Alan Gottlieb, SAF's founder, said. Past GRPCs have outlined victory plans, made public the latest firearms trends and give participant a first-hand chance to hear movement leaders and make their voices heard. "This year we'll take a look at critical issues such as: bans on semi-auto firearms and magazines, concealed and open carry, federal legislation, BATFE policies, gun show regulation, state and local activity, the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty and the most recent Right to Keep and Bear Arms court cases," Gottlieb said. Conference attendance is free, includes lunch, over $125 worth of vital pro-gun rights materials to each attendee, and the opportunity to chat with the speakers at the two planned evening receptions. Travel, hotel accommodations and other meals are paid by attendee. Seating is limited so register early.

 June 22nd set for

Illinois State Rifle Association open house

This year's Illinois State Rifle Association's Open House will be held on Saturday, June 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The ISRA Range is located on Warner Bridge Road, midway between Routes 113 and Route 17, near Bonfield, IL. "This year's NRA Day promises to be bigger than ever with more guns, more manufacturer's reps, more opportunities to learn more about the shooting sports," Doug Mayhall, ISRA's First Vice President, said. "For those of you who have been to past open houses, you'll be happy to hear that, in anticipation of growing attendance, the organization has streamlined its registration process so you'll spend a lot less time in the registration line and a lot more time on the firing line!" To make matters even simpler you can download both the adult and youth registration forms, fill them out at home and bring it with you to the event. One of the major attractions at the event is the ability for participants to try out firearms provided by manufacturers so participants are asked to not bring personal firearms and ammunition to the Open House. A safety briefing is mandatory for all shooters and eye and hearing protection will be provided. Parking and admission are free but there is a nominal fee for ammunition.
