Salsa 4 A Cause - Humanitarian Mission @ Addis!

Salsa4Life will be teaching a Salsa/ Bachata lesson in an effort to raise money for a humanitarian cause led by HOMBRE!

The Honduras Outreach Medical Brigada Relief Effort, HOMBRE, is a 501 �3 status, non-profit organization. Since its inception in 2000, a group of first-year medical students from the Medical College of Virginia Campus at Virginia Commonwealth University have traveled nearly every year to Honduras to provide direct medical care as well as healthcare education to underserved, rural populations. For the last several years we have held clinics in 2 separate areas of Honduras, and our efforts expanded to include clinics in the Dominican Republic in 2009.

- Underserved communities in Central and S. America

- Money raised goes to medicine & medical supplies

- The lessons will be from 9pm-10pm

- Silent Auction from 7pm-10pm

-Auction winners will be announce

at 10pm after the lesson.

All proceeds from the lessons and silent auction will go directly towards this effort!

After the lesson, feel free to stay and dance the night away with DJ Taz who will play a Latin mix, Top 40's, Hip Hop, Dance Hall and more!!!

Suggested donation is $10 for the lessons

Salsa 4 Beginners:

Our next Beginner Series BEGINS Monday, March 3, 2014!

Salsa 4 Beginners: (Progressive series week #3)

When: Mondays

Time: 7pm-8pm (No Drop-ins allowed after the series has begun)

Location: The Dance Space - 6004A W. Broad St. (2nd FL)

Cost: $50 for 5 classes or $12 per class.

Note: There are 5 Mondays in March!

No partners are necessary as we rotate students.

Shoes:

No flip flops, loose sandals, sneaker or 5 inch heels...Leather sole shoes or socks are best. Please wear a comfortable shoe that will allow you to spin easily etc.

Note: Private lessons are also available.

Once you register, you have the option to pre-pay for your classes online at $50 for 5 weeks! Note: There are 5 Mondays in March!

When: Mondays

Time: 8pm-9pm

(Ongoing class, drop-ins allowed if you've taken classes before or had some beginner dancing experience).

What shoes do I wear? Or where can I buy a pair of dance shoes?

If you are beginner and don't want to invest in a pair of dance shoes, we recommend you wear leather sole shoes or socks, no flip flops or sneakers (unless they are dance sneakers). Dance shoes are the best choice.

Dance shoes are for both men and women. Dance shoes have just the right friction to help you spin, but not spin out of control. They provide comfort; flexibility and control.
