Wireless Tower News - December 2015
Thanks for a Great Year

Looking Back on a Successful 2015
Len Forkas, President
Happy Holidays from all of us here at Milestone. We are proud to be reflecting back on our biggest year yet and grateful to the many communities, landowner partners, and wireless carriers that helped make it possible.

Here are some 2015 highlights:

  • We successfully zoned, constructed and placed into service 40 towers.

  • We completed the HRSD SCADA project, which included 12 towers constructed at treatment plants and operational centers and served as a shining example of the revenue opportunities tower construction can offer utility companies.

  • We built the first tower in the City of Fairfax, VA.

  • We welcomed four new employees to our growing team.

  • We expanded into the Carolinas, with agreements executed with Greenville, SC County Schools and Pickens County, SC Public Schools.

  • We successfully introduced a bill in the North Carolina General Assembly to expand wireless leasing terms from 10 to 20 years.

  • We amended Loudoun County Zoning to permit towers on more municipal properties.

  • We expanded our Virginia footprint, with lease agreements in Central Virginia, Roanoke and Stafford County.

At the core of all this success is our tireless Milestone team of professionals and I extend a tremendous thank you to each of them.

Enjoy the holidays,
Len Forkas
Milestone Executes Two New Master Marketing Agreements
Milestone has completed two new master marketing agreements to market sites to wireless providers as possible locations for cell towers. The first, with the School District of Pickens County (SDPC), South Carolina, was executed on October 29. It is for a seven-year term and encompasses 35 potential cell tower sites. The second, with the Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC), was executed on November 24, and is a five-year term that will include the marketing of 44 properties.

"We are very excited about these agreements," said Jennifer Bond, Milestone's Director of Business Development. "SDPC represents our continued expansion into the Carolinas, and CVEC is another example of how utilities are realizing the benefits of building towers on their sites."

Project Update
Frederick County Public Safety Training Facility

Construction is underway for the wireless pole at the Frederick County Public Safety Training Facility (PSTF). The pad and pier foundation will support Frederick County's public safety network, Enhanced 911 (E911). Since 70% of all calls are mobile, enhancements are needed to 911 service to allow the location of the user to be known for emergency responders. This pole will also strengthen Verizon Wireless network coverage in Frederick City. View our news for more project updates.
