RangeFlash - Aug. 22, 2013

It's Almost Election Time!
The 2013 SRM Election of Officers is Coming Aug. 26th

Dear Member,

Voting is a very important part of SRM membership. The people you elect will provide the direction and leadership to sustain the organization, profession, and the resource we manage.  The Nominations Committee has provided us with a strong list of candidates.  I encourage you to vote starting next week.  Have a voice in your Society!

Your current SRM officers have worked hard to ensure that SRM is providing leadership in the arena of proper resource management.  They have signed on or written numerous letters to congressmen, agency leaders, and organizations on issues insuring that SRM members are recognized as the experts in maintaining healthy rangelands.

SRM provides valuable training opportunities for the membership to obtain the newest information used to assess and manage the rangeland resource.

Vote for the officers who will carry on this effort and then attend our annual gathering in Orlando, FL, in February 2014.  It is your Society and only your participation can guarantee that it will stay a healthy, vibrant organization.

Sincerely,

Wally Butler, SRM President

NOTICE TO MEMBERS: The Board has reviewed the current Society Bylaws and has determined that it has become necessary  to make amendments to current verbiage of a few of the articles, as well as an addition to the articles.  This is necessary to provide the Society with better operational procedures.

As Board members we encourage you to review and support the proposed changes and additions. Please exercise your right vote. THANK YOU!
