NAIPSC Webinar Series Update
  

February 27. The second half of the 2012-2013 NAIPSC Webinar Series is continuing now through the beginning of May. The first two webinars for 2013 have been on technologies for plant identification and approaches to large-scale restoration. The topic of our next webinar on March 7 will be fire on the landscape and the following week we're going to hear about thistles - native thistles and their importance in rangelands. Sound interesting? Be sure to check out the entire schedule on the NAIPSC website (http://ipscourse.unl.edu) and find out how to join the NAIPSC Online Community.

The National Native Seed Conference connects Research, Industry, Land Management, and Restoration professionals, providing the premier opportunity to develop relationships and share information about the collection, research and development, production, and use of native plant materials.
  

The National Native Seed Conference is brought to you by the Native Seed Network, a program of the Institute for Applied Ecology. It is made  possible by the support of our sponsors, in particular the Bureau of Land Management. This conference will include the joint meetings of the Great Basin Native Plant Selection & Increase Project and the the Colorado Plateau Native Plant Program. Intermountain Native Plant Summit VII Call for Posters
  

   

  
Boise State University Department of Biological Sciences and the USDA-Agricultural Research Service, in Logan, UT are sponsoring the Intermountain Native Plant Summit VII in Boise, ID, on March 26-27, 2013.

The Summit is open to the public and free of charge. There is no registration fee, but advance preregistration is preferred.
Please e-mail dale.nielson@ars.usda.gov by Wednesday, March 20, 2013 to pre-register. Please enter "INPS" in the subject line. Please include: name(s), mailing address, business, non-profit organization, university, or government affiliation, city, state, zip code, and phone.

  
A call for volunteered posters and exhibits is now open. A limited number of posterboards are available for display of research and plant material development work pertinent to Intermountain native plants. Exhibits, including those of a commercial nature, may also be displayed this year. To reserve a slot, contact Dale at dale.nielson@ ars.usda.gov with a title.
