Greetings!
The Closing Ceremony on a beautiful night at Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium was an emotional grand finale to the 19th World Maccabiah Games. Jewish athletes of all ages from 78 countries celebrated this special moment in their lives. They laughed, they cried, they sang, and they danced. Clothing and pins were traded and lifelong friendships were forged. When the New York Rangers finally won the Stanley Cup in 1994, their television announcer Sam Rosen, a member of the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, famously said: "And this one will last a lifetime! Yes, all of our athletes will return home with gold medal memories which will last a lifetime. Congratulations to Team USA for its incredible success on the playing field and my heartfelt thanks to every dedicated volunteer and staff member. The countdown to the 20th Games in 2017 has already begun!
