Greetings!
Maccabi USA has so much to be proud of -- our athletes have given their all during the competitions but they have also given their time and resources to the people of Israel as well. As part of the Lev L'Lev (Heart to Heart) program, more than 350 athletes and supporters have visited local non-profits and gained a better understanding of what incredible work is being done on the ground here in Israel.
We have played tennis with underserved children at the Israel Tennis Centers in Jaffa, Haifa, Ramat HaSharon and Qiryat Shmona. We have visited the Israel Sport Center for the Disabled in Ramat Gan and we have had our spirits lifted by the incredible children at Schneider Children's Hospital in Petach Tikvah. We still have visits scheduled for Hadassah Hospital, El Halev and Yemin Orde Youth Village and are thrilled that another 150 athletes will be able to experience the power of Lev L'Lev.
It has meant so much to the kids of these programs to see the athletes with USA on their shirts come through their doors. At every visit, we are moved by the resilience and the openness of the Israeli people. They have all expressed their gratitude for us taking time out of our training and competition schedules to visit them, but ultimately it is the athletes and friends of Maccabi USA that are grateful for the opportunity to be there.
Long after the 2013 Maccabiah Games come to a close, I am sure the impact of our visits will still be felt. Team USA members have worn the red, white and blue with compassion and grace. I have never been more proud to be a part of this amazing organization.
Thank you all for your help in making these visits a reality.

Chair, Lev L'Lev
