Greetings!
Today Team USA ascended to the old city of Jerusalem. Our group stopped first at an observation point on Mount Scopus where we were able to have an overview of the city and say the blessing shechechiyanu for bringing us to this place at this time. We then went to the city of David to begin to learn some of our heritage. We continued on to the Old City and ultimately to the Western Wall where Team USA got to put notes in the Wall and spend a few moments in personal reflection. Our group was promised that if we returned on time we would have time to grab a shwarma or felafel in the Jewish Quarter. It was another incredible day of learning, experiencing, feeling, and definitely enjoying our land of Israel.
Sincerely,
Jodi Reff

Juniors Boys' Soccer
To no surprise the boys have been bonding since they all met on the plane. After the first week it already feels as if we have all been together for a few years. The team chemistry is great and Coaches Feldman and Cohen can't wait to represent our country in the competition. The boys are so anxious to play their first game.
Juniors Girls' SoccerThe Team has been hard at work for a week now to prepare for the Maccabiah matches they will face in the upcoming days. The have been training one and two times a day in order to learn the new styles of play of their teammates. We continue to grow each day as a team, and I find the girls applying all the ideas we, as a staff, continue to place in front of them. As a whole, they have become very close very fast, which has enhanced their overall ability to improve at a very fast rate, which is exactly what we were looking to accomplish in our opening week. Coaches Klebanow and Hagouel are very excited to see what this team can do, as the talent, mindset and drive all present. Open Women's Soccer The team is having a great time. The training is going well and the women are working hard to defend the gold medal won in 2009. In between training and the ISRAEL CONNECT program, the team took part in the Lev L'Lev (heart to heart) project and enjoyed a visit to one of the Israeli Tennis Centers where they played tennis and soccer with some young children.
