Happy Holidays..Calypso Style
Every family has holiday traditions..the tree, the lights the cards. One tradition that my kids have come to enjoy is making the annual J.J. Ruddy holiday video starring their dad, uncle and grandpa. Apparently there is something about seeing your grandfather dance that quickly turns into belly laughing.

 UBER Update 
The legal debate around car sharing services like UBER continues with a recent case in California involving a fatality.
An UBER driver was logged into his UBER app as an available driver and struck and killed a 6 year old girl in a crosswalk. UBER denied coverage under their policy since there was no UBER passenger in the car at the time. The vehicle owners's insurance carrier denied coverage as it considers UBER a livery service, which is specifically excluded under the auto policy.
Moral of the story...don't be an UBER driver without changing your policy to a commercial auto policy. The MA personal auto policy specifically excludes these types of car sharing/livery services. It may be a great way to make a few bucks, but you will have a problem in the event of a loss.
